Relieve cerámico decorativo recuperado en el interior de Studio2, en la calle del Mar de València.

Modulnova Valencia by Studio2 opens its doors for Open House Valencia 2026

A Nolla mosaic, recovered ceramic details and a kitchen that brings people together. On 23 and 24 October, we open our space on Calle del Mar to share its history and our approach to architecture as part of Open House Valencia 2026.

Some places feel familiar from the outside, until an open door invites us to see them differently.

We walk past a façade, recognise a corner or pause by a window. Behind it lie other stories: materials that have survived, uses that have changed and decisions that connect a building with the people who inhabit it today.

On 23 and 24 October , Studio2 takes part in Open House Valencia 2026 , opening its space on Calle del Mar, listed in the programme as Flagship Modulnova by Studio2 . An opportunity to explore the interior, discover its history and talk about architecture, interior design and the ways we live.

A story that began before us

Our space occupies the smaller section of the Gómez II Building, also known as Sagnier II , built in 1905. Francisco Mora Berenguer developed the building from an earlier design by Antonio Martorell, during the transformation of this part of València in the early twentieth century.

The complex extends between Calle de la Paz, Calle Comedias and Calle del Mar. Its architecture belongs to the Catalan-influenced strand of Valencian Art Nouveau, with details that reward a closer look.

At the entrance to Studio2, a Nolla mosaic floor preserves a tangible connection with that history. Inside, decorative ceramic features were discovered behind wall coverings from the period when the premises housed a carpentry workshop. We recovered them and incorporated them into the current interior.

Their date and authorship remain undocumented. Their presence, however, is part of what we can share today.

Seeing the space as a complete project

Since 1997, Studio2 has brought together architecture, interior design and furnishing. Layout, materials, lighting and furniture develop from a shared idea, with attention to how they relate to one another and to the lives they will support.

Our space on Calle del Mar offers a direct introduction to this approach. Walking through it means noticing junctions, exploring textures and understanding how a material choice changes the perception of the whole.

The kitchen plays a central role in this experience. As MODULNOVA’s flagship in Valencia , we show how its solutions can become part of the architecture and connect with the rest of the home.

Opening a door means sharing a perspective

Taking part in Open House Valencia allows us to share our work with people who are curious about the city and its spaces.

This interest in bringing people together also runs through Un lugar donde pasan cosas , Studio2’s cultural initiative, which gathers different perspectives around a kitchen. Its independent programme shares the same desire to listen, exchange ideas and make room for others.

During these open days, we invite you to discover what remains, what we have recovered and what continues to happen here.
