Olivo House

Casa Oliva establishes a serene relationship with the Mediterranean landscape. The house opens to the outdoors through large openings, visual connections and transitional spaces that bring vegetation, light and the passage of time into the interior experience.

The architecture of Casa Oliva is shaped by continuity between the interior and the landscape. Large openings and transitional spaces extend the rooms outdoors, while the shadows of the olive trees move through the house and transform its atmosphere throughout the day.

A restrained palette of stone, wood and natural tones gives the project a sense of unity. Materials flow continuously through the different spaces, while lighting, built-in furniture and precise junctions reinforce a feeling of order and calm.

Rather than occupying the landscape, the house seeks to become part of it. The result is a warm, quiet architecture, connected to its surroundings and designed for a slower way of living, free from unnecessary gestures.
